From the Archives: Royal Windsor Horse Show, 1962

Check out this fascinating Pathé News archive footage from Royal Windsor Horse Show in 1962 – a year after The Dressage Group was set up under the umbrella of the British Horse Society, growing from 123 members and eight competitions.

The Chiddingfold Hunt show the audience their skills as hunting was very much a part of the countryside traditions. The Horlicks Cup was presented to Nicolas in the Harness Pony Championship. The ladies that joined the jumping competition this year included; Miss S. Cohen on ‘Clair Castle’, Mrs. V.I Boon on ‘Venus’, Miss Westwood on ‘Coady’ and Mrs. Roger Smith on ‘James VII’.
